Ukrainian Ambassadors Project to Contribute to the Consolidation and Recovery of Ukrainian Society

Rebuilding Ukraine Association Inc (RUAI) is proud to welcome a new member to our RE-building Ukraine’s National Identity Though Education (REUNITE) team!  – BRDGES Academy (Building Resolutions for Disputes Globally with E-learning Strategies) led by Lynn Cole.

BRDGES Academy is a US-based, world-renowned educational institution that provides skills-centered curricula in dispute resolutions and intercultural mitigation to its global classrooms. BRDGES’s vision – to contribute to building a world culture of peace – most intimately resonates with the mission of REUNITE to bring peace and prosperity to Ukraine.

To contribute to peaceful consolidation of Ukrainian society and its post-war recovery and acculturation, BRDGES Academy brings the art of dispute mediation to students of Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, Kyiv region, Ukraine. Together with its partners – Dr. Alexia Georgakopoilos, Director of Department of Conflict Resolution Studies at Nova Southeast University, and Dr. Galyna Eremenko, CEO and Founder of Ukrainian Mediation Center – BRDGES Academy will train Ukrainians how to bridge cultural differences, enhance cross-cultural communications, interface to prevent disputes, and promote resolution of disputes through mediation and other conflict transformational techniques. Among offered courses are “Trauma-Informed Learning and Communications”, “Cultural Dimensions and Intercultural Communications”, “Emotional Intelligence”, “Conflict Prevention, Techniques and Transformation”, “Introduction to Mediation”, and others.

Graduates of this Program are expected to facilitate remediation of cultural tension and gaps in Ukrainian society. The ultimate goal is to consolidate Ukrainian society around democratic principles and ideals to make it more resilient to the external threads and to promote its after-war recovery.

REUNITE congratulates Lynn Cole for receiving a grant from the Russo Foundation and is honored to serve as a platform for the grant distribution and oversight.
